Argentinian performace artist, sculptor, illustrator and now club diva El Pelele has dropped one of the most psychotic and fun releases I have heard in recent years via London's Quantum Natives. Quantum Natives is the perfect home for this record as their catalog embodies much of this chaotic energy from all over the globe but each artist always brings their personal culture to the table. The beauty of this is now we have a great perspective of what powerful sound art for the club / brain could look like in China and Argentina.

El Pelele brings the flash of the queer dance scene and the agressive technicallity of metal with the essence of a driving latin pulse. A standout example of this from AMENAZA is "ABANDONADA" flipping over itself repeatedly and El Pelele's vicious vocals crawling over the miniute of the rhythms. The most exciting elements of this record showcase an auditory accompanyment for the visual world El Pelele has already built. The last track "AMATORIO" is a frieghtning vocalization that builds into violently fun sawtooth bass music, an elegant and pointed cadence wisking virgin ears to a bizzare world.
